Others have made disturbingly supportive statements; usually vague so as to keep within the forum's rules prohibiting direct incitement to violence and presumably protect themselves legally. Still, there are many who say that what he did was inevitable or admirable.

I fear that we're going to see more violence from these groups in the future, they're becoming increasingly desperate as they see societies and attitudes changing in ways inimical to their hateful beliefs. Most do not believe that there is any way their goals will be achieved without violence and societal collapse.

The Norwegian commitment to respond to these horrific attacks by reaffirming democratic and multicultural principals is admirable in the extreme. Hopefully some small good will be able to come out of this, and people around the world will become more aware of these dangerous fringe groups.
