Britain selling Sherwood Forest?

The Telegraph reports that as part of its austerity measures, Britain plans to sell off around half of its 748,000 hectares of government-owned forest, possibly including Robin Hood's old haunt:

The controversial decision will pave the way for a huge expansion in the number of Center Parcs-style holiday villages, golf courses, adventure sites and commercial logging operations throughout Britain as land is sold to private companies.

Legislation which currently governs the treatment of "ancient forests" such as the Forest of Dean and Sherwood Forest is likely to be changed giving private firms the right to cut down trees.

Laws governing Britain's forests were included in the Magna Carta of 1215, and some date back even earlier.

A source close to the British environment department describes the move in terms of "putting conservation in the hands of local communities," a phrasing consistent with the Cameron government's "Big Society" vision. Most of Britain's forests were lost by the 17th century to firewood and construction. We'll see if the private sector can take care of the trees a little more responsibly this time around?

Britain selling Sherwood Forest?

Guys......it is really mind blowing thought and i appreciate this opinion. The society is facing problems with such laws. This has to go legal and it’s needed to be sorted at the earlier. This is the controversial decision take from the Britain selling Sherwood forest for the living purpose and they are sell forest land from many companies.

Haiti Election

I wanna tell you something important for Haiti going to happen in the nearest future. You all already have known that Outgoing Haitian President René Préval has set the presidential elections for Nov. 28, 2010.

As i'm concern about my Haiti. After an Heavy natural disaster It's become back dated. And bearing unmeasurable sufferings. Still now it's facing crisis from all sides, created from the Earth Quake as well as by nature. But It's time to change the day, So request all of you to come forward to make tha days ahead distinctly.
I think at this moment HAITI really needs help to be rebuild.
According to ma justification,
Haiti Election Candidates should be under consideration as a deserving personality,
who can supply the best support and leadership as a president.
