California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, currently visiting Russia for a high-tech conference, received an interesting offer from Russian President Dmitry Medvedev:
"You arrived at the moment when Moscow has no mayor," the Russian president told the American guest.
Recalling that Schwarzenegger is leaving the post of California governor in January, Medvedev said smiling: "If you were a Russian citizen, you could work for us."
Medvedev recently fired Moscow's longtime Mayor Yuri Luzhkov.
The meeting between the two seemed by be quite a lovefest with Schwarzenegger describing his host as "one of those great visionaries." This was the governator's first visit to Russia since starring as a Soviet cop in 1988's Red Heat.
