Russian analyst and ex-KGB operative Igor Panarin wants the U.S. to enjoy its last eight months. Because after that, the world's sole superpower will be embroiled in a civil war that will destroy it. This message has found an audience in the radical right wing Tea Party movement.
Mass immigration, economic decline, racial tensions and moral degradation will spark the war that leads to this civil war and subsequent splitting of the United States. These are same fears expressed at Tea Party rallies throughout the US.
In Panarin's dystopia the south will go to Mexico. The Northeast will go to the E.U. The Midwest will go to Canada. The West Coast will go to China and Alaska will go back to Russia.
This theory has become moderately popular in Russia; however the Tea Party movement in the United States is his newest fan.
Fans of irony take note. The people who say the U.S. is headed toward Socialism, or Fascism, or both, or whatever, are paying an ex-KGB academic to speak at their conferences. At a speech in Houston, Panarin said Texas' talk of secession -- consisting largely of Chuck Norris' offer to run for president and the controversy surrounding immigration is a sign that the end is nigh for the U.S.A.

Really FP? The term "radical right wing" is the type of phrase usually reserved for the national socialist British Nationalist Party, not the various wings of the Tea Party movement.
Sadly the errors and political biases of Passport seem to becoming more and more frequent events.
It is not an error or bias to describe the Tea Party "movement" as a radical extension of the rigth wing of American politics.
Perhaps you failed to see the enormous poster of the pile of bodies of Dachau at the Tea Party rally outside of the US Congress this past weekend. It was an absurd display, lacking any sort of historical perspective. The worst part of it, however, was that aside from Eric Cantor, the Republican whip, not a single member of the GOP condemned the display. It is a terrible precedent that is being perpetuated by the leaders of the party, and one of many examples of the emerging "radical right wing" in American politics.
Perhaps your own biases cloud your ability to rationally judge the events at hand.

I guess that makes Moveon.org a radical right-wing organization ? Didn't see any democrats, or George Soros for that matter, complain about it either.
Porkopolis,
That was one radical, sick wing yes. However, it is clearly in the minority compared to most of the Tea Party. That would be like me calling the anti-Iraq War Peace Movement the "radical left-wing, openly treasonous Islamist peace movement" because of the presence of groups like ANSWER, various communists, pro-Hamas supporters, and a very few but vocal people who said the U.S. deserves to lose in Iraq.
Look at the leaders of the Tea Party. Is Sarah Palin (probably the most like person out of all the Tea Party wings) radical right wing. Her career as governor suggests she is mainline conservative with libertarian tendencies. How can that be compared to "far right" groups like BNP, France's Le Penn Movement, or Germany's National Demoocrats?
My point is not to defend the Tea Party's beliefs but to point out FP is making some odd political calls that don't belong in such a source.
Ummm...they invited the guy to speak in the hope that such a scenario could be prevented, per the article you link to...that doesn't seem so radical. Try spending a few months on any US campus and look at the speakers who get invites if you really want to see radical...
