BNP copies Obama Web design

Posted By Joshua Keating Share

This could very well be the most ironic act of hopejacking yet. Some British bloggers have noticed a striking similarity between the Websites of the xenophobic British National Party, which banned nonwhites from joining until a court order this year, and BarackObama.com.

Maybe the BNP should take a close look at their website and decide what shouldn't be there.
Is it...
A. The largely blue and white color scheme that affects people positively?
B. The gentleman* in the his mid-forties or early fifties?
Or...
C. The gentleman** in at least his early sixties with all the suggestion of change of Taro Aso?

A large number of people are trying to use Democratic techniques without any understanding of why those techniques worked.

Meh

I think said British bloggers are overstating it. Really, the only similarity is the color scheme; and red, white and blue happen to be the national colors for both the US and the UK, so it's not crazy for politicos of either country to use it.

Now that I'm looking over it again, maybe something else similar is the use of glowing stuff. That's a little better than the color scheme, but still a pretty small thing.
