Stop calling us terrorists or we'll blow you up!

The indisputable logic of the Pakistani Taliban:

Meanwhile, a Taliban group also sent two letters to the Lahore Press Club – one on October 12 and the other on October 14 – warning that if the media “does not stop portraying us as terrorists ... we will blow up offices of journalists and media organisations”.

indisputable logic

The group said that Taliban should be referred to as mujahideen.

Just like the US military, when it bombs, invades, occupies and bombs some more, wants to be called "counter-insurgents". Terrorist groups have to consider marketing.

And what is "terrorism?" from the DOD Dictionary:

terrorism -- The calculated use of unlawful violence or threat of unlawful violence to inculcate fear; intended to coerce or to intimidate governments or societies in the pursuit of goals that are generally political, religious, or ideological.

And what governments and organizations in the world are guilty of this behavior? Let's list them in the order of their magnitude of terrorism, shall we?

It is terrorism to "us" BUT

It is terrorism to "us" BUT to "them" it is an act of local social beliefs. They may perceive their deeds as worthy of praise and us as terrorists. I'm sure you've heard the expression... "We're not the terrorists, it is the Western World who harbors the worst terrorists of them all" - or something of that nature.

The DOD definition of terrorism can be further supplemented by the best definition of terrorism after 9-11. This is based on my personal views while exploring others.
