Hamas exposes sexy zionist chewing gum plot

Tue, 07/14/2009 - 12:53pm

What will those nefarious geniuses at Mossad think of next?

Hamas suspects that Israeli intelligence services are supplying its Gaza Strip stronghold with chewing gum that boosts the sex drive in order to "corrupt the young," an official said on Tuesday.

"We have discovered two types of stimulants that were introduced into the Gaza Strip from Israeli border crossings," Hamas police spokesman Islam Shahwan told AFP. [...]

The story came to light after a Palestinian man filed a complaint that his daughter had experienced "dubious side effects" after chewing the offending gum, Israeli media reported.

Not to dwell too much on this, but given the already explosive population growth in Gaza, if Israel were really going to do something like this, wouldn't they be more likely to use a chemical that would discourage young Palestinians from having sex?

Killer reporting. If someone

Killer reporting. If someone bombed Manhattan, killing nearly a thousand innocents, hundreds of them children, then locked it down in a brutal siege, people there might start getting a little paranoid as well.

You ought to be ashamed of yourself.

Right

Just like how we didn't make fun of the "freedom fries" thing after 9/11 out of respect for the poor, paranoid Republicans.

French Fries

Dude,
You didn't make fun of "freedom fries"? Where were you, under a rock?

One of my favorites

"In protest of France's opposition to a U.S. war on Iraq, the U.S. Congress' cafeteria has changed french fries and french toast to 'freedom fries' and 'freedom toast.' Afterwards, the congressmen were so pleased with themselves, they all started freedom kissing each other. In a related story, in France, American cheese is now referred to as 'idiot cheese.'" —Tina Fey, Saturday Night Live's "Weekend Update"

I think BiterAtmonk was being

I think BiterAtmonk was being sarcastic.

Um...

Actually, the Hamas Charter was written in 1988 and is no less delusional. For example, it says that the Jews were behind the French Revolution.

Consider the settlers; they

Consider the settlers; they believe that they, above all other nations, are given the divine right to use apartheid and ethnic cleansing to violently colonize land. It is, by the way, not currently happening anywhere else in the ENTIRE WORLD, in that it is such a heinous practice that would ordinarily be quickly and violently ended. It is, however, condemned by virtually every other nation in the world, including the US.

Furthermore, Israel helped support Hamas as a Palestinian counterweight to Fatah. I'm sure that the paranoia that they display is precisely what settlement PR people like this author like so much about them. It serves as a convenient excuse for Israel to collectively punish millions of people with imagined impunity as they advance the singularly brutal settlements program.

Maybe next week you'll do an expose on the daily violnce that settlers rain down on Palestinians in an effort

That was supposed to end

That was supposed to end with; Maybe next week you'll do an expose' on the violence that the settlers rain down on Palestinians daily in an effort to steal more land and provoke the violent reactions that helps to give cover to the vile settlements program.

Hamas exposes sexy zionist chewing gum plot

And people will still insist that President Obama deal openly with Hamas idiots.

literalists vs. literalists who are counterintuitive

let me construct an analogy. Chinese companies made toys that had lead in them, Chinese companies made milk that had melamine in it. These products got exported to countries all over the world. But guess what, only US media had enraged periods of entropic egoism, there were jokes on jay leno and letterman that were really good and yet condescending to the Chinese nation. Now no one suspected Chinese intelligence agency's intervention here.

Now the Israel-Palestine case does not involve nation states with universally agreed boundaries, and they are not friends with each other, so there may be leakages of goods traded across boundaries. Simple game theoretic analysis suggests a possibility of employment of counter-intuitive means to degenerate the other side. So there is a strong possibility of irrational means employed by Israel too, given the fact that Israel considers a 1000 civilian murders in a fortnight as deterrence.

Since, libido's are not only used for making more babies, !we all know that, like how many kids did Freud have?)Libido vs. civilization or society at large is where the divorce begins between individual values and societal beliefs and ideals. So there again, when Joshua says 'if Israel were really going to do something like this, wouldn't they be more likely to use a chemical that would discourage young Palestinians from having sex? ' he is forgetting that Palestinians need Unity, for which their political outcome is Hamas, and anything that goes against this unity will be scrutinized and interrogated by their people, it is their right to do so. Path dependency of the situation suggests, they will be overly-suspecting of any Jewish product or missile.

So dont be a slothy mind Joshua, you do a bad job by not using imagination and REASON, so please analyze, parralelyze instead of sensationalizing the entire lob sided bell-endic article which is akin to propaganda.

Chew on this.

Israeli soldiers: 'No clear red lines' in Gaza war

By STEVE WEIZMAN – 1 hour ago

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli soldiers who fought in last winter's Gaza War say the military used Palestinians as human shields, improperly fired incendiary white phosphorous shells over civilian areas and used overwhelming firepower that caused needless deaths and destruction, according to a report released Wednesday.

The testimonies were by far the strongest allegations to come from war veterans that the army used excessive force during the three-week offensive and echoed claims already leveled by Palestinian and human rights groups. The military rebutted the report, saying the accounts were anonymous and impossible to verify.

The accounts of 26 war veterans were collected by Breaking the Silence, an organization of Israeli army reservists critical of their country's treatment of Palestinians. They described demolishing buildings, vandalizing homes and using more than essential firepower, given the relatively light resistance they encountered. One said the army needlessly used white phosphorous, a masking agent that can cause severe burns, for smokescreens. Others said regulations for opening fire were vague, and that soldiers were expected to do whatever was necessary to protect themselves.

"There were no clear red lines," one soldier told the group. "If you're not sure, kill. Fire power was insane," said another.

You've only helped illustrate

You've only helped illustrate why Israel has such staunch defenders. Israelis openly examine and question the morality of their behavior, like all Western democracies do.

Truth is served...

Well Johnchen this is the very point that a balanced view has illustrated. Since Israel's irrational offensive of mammoth proportions can be dubbed as 'staunch defense', it is very much likely for illogical means such as contamination of products to be done in the name of such 'defense', which is actually an 'offense' if you read Khan jee's comment on individual/society dichotomy. In other words given the empirical events, one cannot rule out commonsensical possibilities!

Let me ask you this, is the morality of behavior examined with reference to a universal moral doctrine, such as the Kantian Categorical Imperative? Or is it done on some belief which is not universally shared?

Even if the conventional - utilitarian greatest happiness principle is utilized as a means of measuring moral worth of Israel's actions, Israel fails to show any morality in its behavior. Actually if you tie ethics with democracy, then Israeli democracy is barbaric isn't it! Sorry to say but this lack of virtue is NOT shared ALL Western or Eastern Democracies. (generalization doesn't help does it!)

The author has no pity and no shame.

The author works to gloss over the deplorable conditions that Palestinians have been forced to live in as the result of the settlements and the occupation, and now, in Gaza, the seige and (Up until the war) continuous bombing and raids.

It is shameful to paint Hamas as being more unbalanced or brutal than the people who are, every day, working to destroy the lives of millions of people in gaza, the west bank and east Jerusalem. It is clearly the intention of the settlers and their ultra nationalist racist backers to continue to goad a caged and toothless tiger so that brutal collective punishment, and naked land grabs can continue to be justified being used against literally millions of innocent people.

Articles such as this work to further the notion that Palestinian causes are born of crazed and baseless thinking, and therefore the TRUE crimes (the settlements, the occupation, and the daily violence of the settlers towards innocent Palestinians including children and the elderly) should be overlooked.

The South Africans held similar views about the misguided "natives" that they subjugated as well, painting their causes as baseless and naive. I hope the author and the editors here feel proud to be carrying that torch, as they whitewash the continuation and expansion of apartheid and ethnic cleansing in the occupied territories.

Why not do a little expose on the thoughts and plans of the Israeli settlers? What are their plans for the Palestinians and the occupied territories, and why do they feel justified in doing something the entire world condemns?

I know, I know, when you actually interview them, they sound a lot like the KKK, but with an army at their disposal to help them enact their insane and racist agenda, but then again, you guys aren't afraid of REAL reporting, are you????
