A group of chefs attempt to beat the world record in barbecuing steaks in the southern German town of Bubach-Calmesweiler on August 9, 2008. The chefs grilled 1235 steaks on the 15 square metre large grill and made their way in to the Guinness book of records.
Passport is taking a long weekend so there'll be no blogging tomorrow. See you all on Monday. Happy Fourth of July.

When you click on "comments", they don't seem to come up. Is something wrong with the site? I've tried with multiple browsers.
Didn't show up on my mobile browser either, but they're showing up in IE 7.0
I use Mozilla and everything is fine.

Well, let's just hope that the rest of the world cooperates with Passport and does not provide any notable events until Monday morning, U.S. time. :)
Seriously, although I certainly do not begrudge a blogger (or anyone) some time off, I thought that one purpose of a blog was for it to be updated more regularly than the supposedly obsolete Mainstream Media--and, given that Passport has multiple bloggers, I'm not sure why someone couldn't be "on duty" on weekends.

According to Shirer, Hitler liked to spring surprises on the world on weekends, when he believed (rightly or wrongly) that most of the diplomats — particularly in Britain — were out in the countryside, away from the capital and easy communications.
