I believe the only appropriate word for this is "chutzpah":
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Wednesday accused his election rivals of adopting smear tactics used by Germany's dictator Adolf Hitler and said they could face jail for insulting him. [...]
"No one has the right to insult the president, and they did it. And this is a crime. The person who insulted the president should be punished, and the punishment is jail," he told supporters outside Tehran's Sharif University.
"Such insults and accusations against the government are a return to Hitler's methods, to repeat lies and accusations ... until everyone believes those lies," Ahmadinejad said.
Nejad can be very 'funny' at times. He forgot that Hitler was the dictator when the policy of propaganda was implemented. Also his own deeds negate this claim. He is using state machinery to get favorable results in the elections

It is of course inappropriate for an American writer in one of the most esteemed foreign policy publications to use a Jewish word to describe a statement from the formal leader of the greatest nation in the Middle east with more than 70 million citizens.
It is yeat another testimony from the wrong-headed and isolated culture inside the Beltway, that got the United States of America into its current fix in Iraq.
In the same way that this word should be be banned in any community that is frequented by honest and sincere individuals with a broader scope than the nitty-grittyness of Israeli politics, so of course should the Israeli fabricated propaganda, that Ahmadinejad is comparable to the greatest Tyran in World History. The only thing that he and Hitler have in common is the perceived enmity towards Jews.
