I suppose it's too much to ask that the Obama team put together a whiz-bang Web site for the presidential transition, but couldn't they have come up with a better "under construction" message than this one?

UPDATE: Looks like the site is now fully operational and professionally done. Have a look.

Agreed... although I guess it could be worse, like if they added one of those "construction" street signs that used to be so popular in the 90's on the web.

Still... what a horrible sign... and why the space after the first www?

Why put it up at all?

Considering the .gov top domain is protected it's not like someone would go along and steal it. Makes no sense.
