John McCain wasted no time in welcoming Barack Obama as the Democratic nominee for president -- by questioning the Illinois senator's judgment on foreign policy and lambasting his positions on domestic issues. Hillary Clinton, for her part, pointedly refused to concede defeat and even reiterated her claim to a popular vote majority. But Obama, who has now secured 2144 delegates, proclaimed himself the nominee and said, "I face this challenge with profound humility, and knowledge of my own limitations."
