How the world is reporting Obama's big win
Wed, 06/04/2008 - 12:49pm
Fishbowl DC posts images of newspaper frontpages from around the world, announcing Barack Obama's primary win. Here's my favorite, from Taipai's United Evening News:
Roughly translated by my colleague Drew, Obama is saying, "Onward to the White House!" and the caption above Hillary asks, "An Obama-Hillary alliance?"
The Newseum has a lot more, though it appears Obama's victory wasn't actually frontpage news in most of the world. That could be due to the time-zone difference, or it could be because other countries are a lot less obsessed with this race than we think. (Do be sure to check out Prague's Lidove Noviny, which would appear to have an anti-Hillary bent.)
