Britain's ITV managed to get some good footage of the recent chaos in Tibet. What's odd about China's handling of this incident is that, from the scenes shown here, it sure looks like much of the crowd's energies were directed toward attacking ethnic Han Chinese. Obviously, that's only one side of a much more complicated story, but you would think the Chinese government would want to play up that angle instead of enforcing a blackout. Beijing's spinmeisters have a lot to learn.

UPDATE: The LA Times' reporting suggests that in fact, Beijing is winning the PR battle with the constituency that counts most -- its domestic audience.
