Here's a clip of Susan Rice, one of Barack Obama's foreign-policy advisors, discussing the infamous 3 a.m. phone call ad:
Transcript:
Clinton hasn't had to answer the phone at 3 o'clock in the morning and yet she attacked Barack Obama for not being ready. They're both not ready to have that 3 a.m. phone call."
Whoops.

UPDATE: MSNBC sends along the full clip, so that you can see the context and judge for yourself.
That reminds me of a PBS Newshour segment I saw a few years ago, where George Allen debated against Bill Perry. I don't remember exactly what the topic was--maybe it was Iraq, or maybe N. Korea, which seems more likely as a topic to have Perry on to talk about.
Whatever it was, Allen delivered some nonsensical administration talking points, but did so in a confident manner that could conceivably sway a viewer who didn't know enough about the issue to have an informed opinion. Then Perry came in and utterly bungled his more sensible side of the issue with a delivery that might have worked for some sort of seminar, but was far too hapless and convoluted for a political debate.
I think about anyone is able to answer a phone at 3 o'clock in the morning...
...but Hillary has done it more often than either of the other candidates. "Bill, just wash your penis and call a cab!"
