A good night for FP

Gawker has some fun with this photograph of FP editor in chief Moisés Naím in New York with Columbia Journalism Review's Evan Cornog. But we're not complaining: Last night was a great night for the magazine.

Why's that, you ask?

FOREIGN POLICY won a coveted National Magazine Award for "general excellence" in its weight class, magazines with circulations of 100,000 to 250,000. Our deepest thanks go out to the America Society of Magazine Editors for this great honor, and our deepest congratulations go out to our fellow award winners and nominees.

We had submitted three issues for the judges to consider: last year's May/June, September/October, and November/December issues. If you haven't read them yet, you should—they include tons of great writing, reporting, and analysis of the big trends and issues that are still shaping today's world. Check 'em out. And if you're not a subscriber yet, it's only 25 bucks for two years' worth of generally excellent—dare I say award-winning?—content.
