Shocking news about John McCain

The Los Angeles Times reviewed John McCain's record in the Navy and found him to be "a pilot who early in his career was cocky, occasionally cavalier and prone to testing limits."

Imagine! A cocky fighter pilot.

And late in his career, he was a POW.

Let's be clear here: he was never a good pilot, let alone a great pilot.

But this has nothing to do with his patriotism (very high) or his fitness to be presidents (rather low).

As I recall, Tom Cruise's callsign in Top Gun was "Maverick"...

With that, plus the fact that his name is one consonant away from "John McClane" of Die Hard, John McCain IS 1980s action movies!

You bet fighter pilots are cocky; my own father was one. But he never cracked up a plane. The LA Times article was about the multiple planes that McCain crashed.
