Who has been voted the world's top public intellectual?

Voting has now closed on Foreign Policy and Prospect's reader poll to determine the world's top public intellectual. We'd like to thank all of you for voting in such unprecedented numbers, even if you just wrote in Stephen Colbert. You can check back on June 23 or pick up our July/August issue to learn the final results. No hints!

I just wonder where is Blake, does his disappearance have anything with you mentioning Colbert's name here!

Our comrade Blake Hounshell is currently on leave, but we expect to have him back with us late next week.
His absence has nothing to do with that pseudo-intellectual Stephen Colbert, Estonian hackers, an alliance between elements of the United Bamboo and MS-13, a top-secret NSA research program, a special meeting of the trilateral commission, or the Russian doomsday cult.
How do these rumors get started???
