Passport is open for comment

Mon, 02/25/2008 - 8:51am

You may not have noticed it over the weekend, but this blog is now fully operational. We're now accepting comments from readers who go through a brief registration process -- and we're very excited to hear back from Passport readers.

For technical reasons, this is not the same login you may have already set up for our main Web site, which runs on a different software platform.

If you go through with registration you'll notice that we have a pretty legalistic comments policy. Please do give it a careful read, but the gist of it is this: Treat the Passport comments section like you would your grandmother's living room. Do that, and everyone will get along and we'll have a nice, friendly discussion.

Consider this the first of many open threads. Fire away. What do you want to talk about? Here's a possible topic: Has the media offered enough coverage of the U.S. presidential candidates' foreign policies?

Thanks!

Thanks for adding the comments section. It's something I think Passport will really benefit from, and I'll be visiting that much more to check in on the articles and the discussions.

Thanks again,

Gabe Stein

Hurray!

Excellent! Let the conversation begin...

Great news!

After you posted that item lauding the TSA for enabling comments on their blog, I knew you must have been chomping at the bit to put in a comments section.

Looking forward to the discussions-- like Gabe, I'll also be checking in more regularly.

Excellent!

I'm sure this will be a well-used feature. Congratulations Passport!

As if it were possible to

As if it were possible to read this blog even more, I'm sure I (and the rest of the concerned, intelligent, or entertained) will be here even MORE often. Congratulations, Passporters, on this huge step in making this as great a place as it can be!

Fabulous!

Thanks, and it's about time!

Fantastic! I was wondering

Fantastic! I was wondering why the blog never received this must needed feature. I look forward to reading others opinions and insight as well sharing my own.

I am incredibly excited

that there are now comments on Passport! Not just so that I can run my own mouth off, but also because I think it will be incredibly informative to see what other readers of this blog (who are probably a good deal more informed about World Affairs than I am) have to say about these creative and thought-provoking posts. You're like The New Yorker of blogs.

Lovely

I can hardly wait to bring down the intellectual temperature in here. (I kid 'cause I love.) Glad to see it opened up. I think it's going to make it an even better read.

Thanks

At last! I was wishing this feature so badly. It's gonna get interesting. Thank you FP.
