Preeti Aroon is an assistant editor at FP. She holds a master's degree in public policy from Duke University, where she was an opinion columnist and editorial page associate for The Chronicle, the university's student-run newspaper. A native of Lexington, Kentucky, Ms. Aroon was previously a copy editor and contributing columnist for the Lexington Herald-Leader, and she holds bachelor's degrees in chemical engineering and Spanish from the University of Kentucky.

Elizabeth Dickinson is an assistant editor at FP. Prior to joining FP, Elizabeth was stationed in West Africa, working as the Nigeria correspondent for The Economist. She has held previous internships with the Wall Street Journal Europe in Brussels and the New York Times' West African bureau in Dakar. In addition, her writing has appeared in IRIN News, AllAfrica.com, the International Herald Tribune, Newsweek International, and the Mail and Guardian. An avid runner and violinist, Elizabeth holds a B.A. in African and International Studies from Yale University.

Rebecca Frankel is an associate editor at FP. She was previously managing editor of Moment Magazine, a publication founded by Elie Wiesel in 1975. A native of West Hartford, Connecticut, she is a graduate of American University and holds a bachelor's degree in literature.

Blake Hounshell is managing editor at FP. He arrived in Washington in 2006 after living in Cairo, where he studied Arabic, missed his Steelers finally win one for the thumb, and worked for the Ibn Khaldun Center for Development Studies. A graduate of Yale University with a degree in political science, his interests include Middle East politics, the impact of energy use on the environment, international trade, and the digital economy. He frequently appears on various radio programs, and infrequently on television.

Annie Lowrey is an assistant editor at FP. Before joining FP, she worked in the Washington bureau of The New Yorker. She also held internships with Bloomberg News and The Atlantic. A graduate of Harvard, she grew up in London and Hartford, Connecticut.

Joshua Keating is deputy Web editor at FP and editor of Passport. He first joined the staff as an editorial intern in August 2007. A native of Brooklyn, New York, he graduated from Oberlin College, where he majored in comparative politics and edited the Oberlin Review. He has written and reported for Newsweek International, the Center for Defense Information, Radio Prague, Romania's Adevarul newspaper, and the Jersey Journal. He has appeared as a commentator on CNN International, National Public Radio, and C-Span.

Blaine Sheldon is a Web developer and producer at FP.

Thomas R. Stec, webmaster, maintains FP Passport and ForeignPolicy.com. Before coming to FP in early 2005, Tom was a lead programmer in the development of LAMP based point-of-sale systems at Monolith Software Solutions.
